For Jihan, wedding shoe shopping wasn’t just about finding something pretty. It was about finding a shoe that came in her size, had enough width, matched her vision, and could actually be worn through the whole day.
1. Do you have any memorable stories or experiences tied to the footwear you’ve worn over the years?
I purchased my 1st pair of cowboy boots in 2022 and I am still obsessed with them! Every time I wear them I feel like some cute superhero that says, “Hey Y’all!” I love them so much I wore them in my engagement photos and thought about wearing them on my wedding day, but ultimately went with the Wydr Stella shoe instead. No regrets!
2. How did you first come across Wydr Studios, and what made you decide to give it a try?
I came across Wydr Studios on Instagram. I had been tempting to purchased many times, then when I was planning my wedding and looking for my wedding shoes, I came back to Wydr and found the perfect pair to wear on my big day!
3. What stood out to you about our footwear compared to other brands you’ve tried?
What stood out about your footwear was the sizing, the width, the height and style of the heel and the color. I was having a difficult time finding a shoe in a specific color that would fit, but Wydr Studios delivered.
The real test came on the wedding day itself — not just for the ceremony, but for every celebration that followed.
4. How did wearing our shoes on your wedding day impact your experience?
I wore your shoes on my wedding day for the ceremony, reception and also a bar hang later that day and I didn’t turn into a pumpkin. I was able to wear them for 10+ hours without my feet being in agony, which for a non- sneaker shoe is rare.
5. Why were our Stellas your favorite?
The Stellas are so comfy and cute! I can last so long wearing these shoes without needing a foot massage from my husband at the end of the day ( although I ask him for one anyway… LOL). I’ve worn these shoes a few times already and I have 2 weddings I’m going to soon and my Wydr Studios Stella shoes will be on my feet!
6. What are the top three things you look for when choosing a pair of shoes?
Top 3 things I look for when choosing a pair of shoes:

Do they carry my size? I can’t tell you how many times I found a pair of shoes online that I’m obsessed with and go to their sizing and they only carry up to size 9… (I’m a size 10W)

Is the design interesting, but also functional. Some shoes are very interesting but logistically I couldn’t walk in them. And sometimes some shoes look so super comfy and functional, but aren’t interesting at all. So finding that balance is key.

Can I wear these shoes for more than a couple of hours? When I was young I would buy “sitting shoes” which are shoes that look good but you can only sit in them, no prolonged standing or walking in those shoes. Now I’ve no interested in sitting shoes, I need to be able to stand and walk in my shoes, actually I need to be able to run in the shoes too!
What made Stella work for her wedding day also reflects how Jihan thinks about shoes in everyday life: comfort first, but never at the expense of style.
7. Can you tell us a bit about yourself and what your day-to-day life night I am a stand- up looks like?
My day to day life is me running around Los Angeles with various children in my car. I’m a nanny in the day and I work for 2 families who each have 3 kids, so I’m responsible for 6 kids total! Thankful not 6 kids all at the same time. At night I’m a stand-up comedian, so I’m driving all around Los Angeles at night going to different spots to do sets. When I have a day off I do love to come home and make dinner and cuddle with my husband, 2 cats and 1 dog.
8. How would you describe your personal style, and how do you express it through your footwear choices?
My personal style I would describe as classic with a twist. I love to play with color and patterns and interesting twists on classic shapes. My footwear choices are always focused on comfort and function and your girl loves a sneaker with almost anything! I’m also obsessed with my bone colored cowboy boots!
9. What does a typical day in your life look like, and how does your footwear play a role in it?
I’m driving all the time and chasing kids most days so comfort is key when it comes to my footwear. I love a cute sneaker or a fun funky sandal in the summer.
10. What are some of your favorite activities, and how does your choice of footwear support these?
I love going to museums and thrifting with my husband, so we’re on our feet all day. So a comfortable shoe with good cushion is key in supporting my feet to sustain those all day activities.

11. What were some of the biggest challenges you’ve faced with finding footwear that fits in the past?
The biggest challenge I’ve faced with finding footwear that fits is definitely the width. They either don’t have my actual size or they have my size but the shoe is too narrow. Also the higher the size the less cute the shoes sometimes seem to get. Why don’t they make kids’ shoes in my size?! Kids’ shoes always have the cutest colors and designs, so my 2nd challenge would be lack of designs for bigger sized shoes for women.
12. What advice would you give to someone who struggles with finding the right pair of shoes?
Figure out your personal style and them compare shoes you’ve worn in the past and note what you liked and didn’t like about those shoes. Then you start your research ie: online, going to your favorite brands stores and referrals from friends and family.
13. What would you say to someone considering trying Wydr Studios for the first time?
I would say, “ Do it!” Wydr Studios is a great company with a quality product and you won’t regret it.
