Made to Fit: Nataliya's Role in Shaping Wydr Comfort

Made to Fit: Nataliya's Role in Shaping Wydr Comfort

From my point of view, the perfect pair of shoes combines the challenge of balancing comfort, elegance, and functionality. But why settle for practicality alone when you can own stylish shoes that make you feel fabulous? That is what I like about Wydr shoes.

Let’s start with an introduction! Can you tell us a little bit about yourself—where you're based, and what you do?
My name is Nataliya. I'm originally from Ukraine, and for the last 25 years, I've been living in Brooklyn, New York. I have been a long-time employee of the Ukrainian National Federal Credit Union, working as a customer service representative.

How has wearing our shoes impacted your daily life or activities?
I always need shoes that are suitable for the office. Also, I love to travel, so I constantly look for comfortable shoes for long walks. We all know shoes are more than just accessories; they are confidence boosters, statement pieces, they can make or break outfits.
Meanwhile, I always knew that there were so many people out there with wide feet like mine, who had problems finding the right fitting shoes. There are simply not enough companies that make affordable, comfortable, and stylish shoes for wide feet.
What role does comfort and functionality play in your footwear decisions?

How did you get involved in footwear fit testing? What does being a footwear fit tester involve?
As for footwear fit testing, I got into it accidentally, and over time, it became my side job. I think being a fit tester does not require special skills, but an understanding of customers' needs, the brand’s proper fit requirements, and clear verbalization of the positive/ negative experience during fit sessions and wear tests. It also calls for dedication, patience, and attention to small details.
What’s your favorite part about being a fit tester? When testing new styles, what are the most important things you look for? (i.e., Are there any specific details that really make a difference for wide feet?)

My favorite part about being a fit tester is understanding that I can help a lot of women with wide feet find the perfect pair of shoes for different occasions. I think the most important fit aspects for wide feet would be extra room for toes, a soft footbed, and a substantial, comfortable yet stylish sole.

What’s been your favorite Wydr shoe to test so far, and why?

I am not tall, so I like thick soles and medium-heeled shoes for my days in the office. My favorite Wydr shoes so far are the footbed sandals in summer (Monti Footbed Sandals) and the lug sole boots and booties, which I was wearing this winter almost every day. They are a perfect combination of practicality, style and comfort. That’s what I am always looking for in any shoes.

What role does comfort and functionality play in your footwear decisions?
I am a big fan of fashion, but as I get older, I have started to look for more timeless and classic styles that prioritize comfort and functionality.

What advice would you give to someone struggling to find stylish and comfortable wide-width shoes?
My advice for someone struggling to find wide shoes: you should try Wydr. This brand has a true lifestyle, a versatile collection of comfortable and well-priced footwear.
